Oova has developed a first-of-its-kind, patent-pending process to help women make informed fertility decisions by accurately measuring hormone levels through daily urine samples. The team has spent over 3 years fusing innovative biochemistry, ground-breaking image processing, and machine learning to precisely detect these hormones using a simple Oova test. For our customers, it’s as simple as peeing on a stick and scanning it with a smartphone. Oova provides personalized insights to facilitate pregnancy and expose reproductive health issues like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Never before have women been able to gain the level of insight Oova provides as affordably (10x cheaper than regular clinic visits), effectively (utilizing machine learning and AI to get personalized information), and comfortably (no blood draws or mailing anything to a lab).

Reporting to the CEO, you will combine strategic thinking and scientific rigor with exceptional execution and strive for excellence in all you do. You are passionately committed to making a difference in patients’ lives and fostering a culture of trust and empowerment that encourages openness, ideation, failing forward, and experimentation. As Head of Product, you will own the end-to-end product life cycle with commercialization on the horizon. You will be responsible for the technical vision and development (conception to launch to beyond) as well as providing the overall vision for the product roadmap. This role will work directly with leaders from all functions across the business to ensure we’re building solutions that solve our patient’s healthcare needs in a scalable way. You are a champion for the product experience of all our users, from our patients to our providers, and you recognize the vital role that technology must play in delivering high-quality health care. Create a product life cycle platform that can handle multiple releases as part of Oova’s growth phase, unifying all stakeholders through a patient-centric strategy.
In your first 180 days, we will define and measure success against the following objectives:
Transition the new hormone test from R&D to manufacturing
Manage respective teams to deliver on every component of the new product (engineering, marketing, operations, business development)
Identify pilot users for the new product
Lead customer discovery to ensure core functionality is accounted for in the new product
Identify early adopters to pilot test the new product
Plan the pilot launch of the new product
Plan for broader B2B2C and DTC launch of the new product
Begin planning for subsequent product development and launch cycles
Bridge the physical and software components of the product, identifying and filling product gaps to ensure a seamless experience for customers
Continuously maintain a deep understanding of customer experience, generate new ideas that grow market share, and drive growth
Product planning and assignment of tasks and deliverables
Product lifecycle management from concept to launch of products
Monitor and assess product development sprints and evaluate results
Own the product roadmap and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other stakeholders
Monitor and manage strategic marketing plans for each product and/or product line
Define pricing and competitive positioning for each product
Communicate customer enhancements, feedback, and suggestions to the respective teams
Project manage the execution of various product enhancements or builds across business functions to ensure product timelines and launch dates are met
Specify and oversee the research needed to determine the needs and desires of customers
Define product marketing communication objectives
